Setup Guide: GoHighLevel

This guide explains how to connect your GoHighLevel account to SearchAtlas so you can create, update, and publish blog content directly on your site. This connection allows you to:

Create and publish SEO-optimized blog posts from SearchAtlas to your GoHighLevel site.

How to connect GoHighLevel with SearchAtlas

Step 1: Generate a Private Integration Token

Log in to GoHighLevel and switch to your agency view
Navigate to Settings → Private Integrations
Click Private Integration
Click Create New Integration
Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "SearchAtlas Integration")
Select the following scopes/permissions:
- Create Blog Post – To create new blog posts
- Update Blog Post – To update blog posts
- Check Blog Post Slug – To check blog slugs
- View Blog Post Categories – To view categories
- View Blog Authors – To view blog authors
- blogspostreadonly – To view existing posts
- blogslistreadonly – To list all posts
Click Create
- Copy the generated token (you will not be able to view it again)
- Store this token securely and keep it confidential

Step 2: Get Your Location ID

In GoHighLevel, go to Settings → Business Profile
Locate the Location ID
Copy this ID, it identifies the specific site where your posts will be published

Step 3: Connect to SearchAtlas

Add the following details in SearchAtlas:
- Private Integration Token
- Location ID
Test the connection:
- Click the Connect button
- SearchAtlas will verify your credentials
- Once verified, you will see the notification "GoHighLevel connected successfully"

Required Information

Private Token: Your generated GoHighLevel integration token
Location ID: Your GoHighLevel site identifier

What you can do with this integration

✅ Create posts as drafts or publish immediately
✅ Update existing blog posts created by SearchAtlas
✅ Set categories, tags, and hashtags
✅ Assign author information

Important Requirements

Blog Setup: Your GoHighLevel site must have blog functionality enabled
Permissions: Select all required scopes when generating the integration token
Site Access: The token provides access only to the connected location

Troubleshooting

Connection Failed: Verify your token and Location ID are correct
Invalid Token: Regenerate the integration token and update it in SearchAtlas
Blog Not Available: Ensure your GoHighLevel site has blog functionality enabled
Permission Denied: Confirm all required scopes were granted during integration setup
