This guide explains how to connect your Wix website to SearchAtlas, allowing you to create, update, and publish SEO-optimized blog content directly on your site.

How to Connect Wix with SearchAtlas

Step 1: Get Your API Key

  1. Go to Wix API Key Manager

  2. Generate a New API Key

    • Click Generate API Key
    • Enter a descriptive name (e.g., SearchAtlas Integration)
    • Select Allow all permissions for full blog management access
    • Click Generate
  3. Copy Your API Key

    • Copy the generated key (starts with IST.)
    • Store it securely as it will not be shown again
    • Keep this key confidential

Step 2: Get Your Site ID

  1. Go to Your Wix Dashboard

  2. Find Your Site ID

    • Check the browser URL after selecting your site
    • The Site ID is the string after /dashboard/
    • Example: ://manage.wix.com/dashboard/12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789abc/home
    • Your Site ID: 12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789abc
    • Copy this Site ID

Step 3: Get Your Site Domain

  1. Find Your Site Domain
    • Visit https://manage.wix.com/
    • Select the website you want to connect
    • Your site domain will be displayed in the dashboard

Step 4: Connect to SearchAtlas

  1. Enter the Following Details in SearchAtlas

    • API Key (starts with IST.)
    • Site ID
    • Site Domain
  2. Test the Connection

    • Click Connect
    • SearchAtlas will verify your credentials
    • On success, you will see: "Wix connected successfully"

Required Information

  • API Key: From Wix API Key Manager (starts with IST.)
  • Site ID: Unique identifier of your Wix site (UUID format)
  • Site Domain: Domain of your published site

Important Requirements

  • Blog Setup: Your Wix site must have blog functionality enabled
  • Permissions: Select Allow all permissions when generating the API key
  • Site Access: The API key only works for the specific site

Troubleshooting

  • Connection Failed: Check if your API key has Allow all permissions enabled
  • Site Not Found: Verify your Site ID in the dashboard URL
  • Blog Not Available: Ensure the Wix site has blog functionality enabled
  • Permission Denied: Regenerate your API key with full permissions
